Watauga County Farmers' Market
Saturday Morning October 23
An early frost will certainly harm some vegetables but there will be plenty of hardier varieties this Saturday.
The Watauga County Farmers' Market will be open these last two Saturdays in October in addition to the holiday market on the Saturdays before and after Thanksgiving. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the local food and other items we will have on hand.
Vendor of the week: Dawn Rhudy
Mountain Memories Farm brings us lamb, beef, and fresh eggs every week.
This Saturday Zydeco Moon Organic Farm and Cabins will have broccoli, arugula, lettuce and delicata, butternut, and acorn squash. Sunshine Cove Farm will have microgreens, ovation and elegance salad mix, mesclun mix and baby bokchoy.
Faith Mountain Farm features pumpkin muffins and pumpkin bread this week along with a new supply of sourwood honey from a beekeeping friend. We also have our usual baked goods, which we can supply for your holiday gatherings after the market season through special order.
The Pasta Wench will have Apple with Brie Ravioli as well her new Pierogis with a delicious carmelized onion and butter sauce that you do not want to miss.
Harmony Acres will have plenty of soaps for the stockings, and grass fed turkeys for the table.
The market is having great success on EBT acceptance, you can call 1-828-355-4918 for more information on using EBT at the market.
